#1552run is a global initiative organized in memory of the tragic events of 1552, honoring the history of the Tatar people. The aim is to collectively run 1552 km.
October marks a month of tragic significance in Tatar history, as in 1552, Ivan the Terrible's forces captured Kazan, leading to the loss of Tatar statehood. However, the people's memory has endured through the centuries.
Since 1989, the Tatar community has commemorated this event every October with a Day of Remembrance. We invite Tatars from around the world to join us in honoring this day.
On October 12-13, anyone can register via the link below and run any distance in their city or village, recording their kilometers.
Our goal is to collectively reach 1552 km!
